Arizona Lotto Blocks

I was one of the lucky winners last year and I put the blocks with some swap blocks and here is what I came up with.

Here are my arizona retreat lotto blocks for 2011.

Round Robin 3

Here is the finished top from the second Round Robin I participated in on about.com

Here is the result of Round Robin 1
I am playing in my third round robin with the same group of ladies and this will be my center for the third round.

Guild Row Robin

I've been participating in my guild's row robin, we aren't finished quite yet, but here is some of the work I've seen and done.

two months

I can't believe I haven't posted anything for 2 months. I don't even have much to show now either, here is a bit of quilting I've done recently.

Row Robin for Guild

I am participating in a Row Robin with my Guild. This is the first month of rows for others. Karlene asked for flowers, any kind of flowers. Here is my contribution to her row quilt. Hers is on top, mine on the bottom.

Four Years!

Yay for me! Today is my four year anniversary of quitting smoking. I can't believe I've made it this long, and am thoroughly excited about it.

Challenge Quilt progress

Here is the progress I have made on the sew batik challenge quilt. I've added my first attempt at freezer paper applique' using the Kim Deil method. I liked it that way.

A while back I posted about this book I purchased. Bella Bella Quilts. Its patterns inspired by the tile work in Italy. Recently the perfect fabric has become available. Its made to look like marble and other stone. Here is my selection so far. I love the whole idea. Of course I'm terrified to try it, but I am going to do it anyway. Right after I finish the Oh My Stars quilt.

Oh my stars progress

this pattern is awesome! She has the best way of putting the setting triangles and squares on I've ever seen. Even I can do it and not chop off my points later.

I have made some progress with a few added stars to the mix.

Oh My Stars

This is a wip (work in progress). I have been working on this for quite a while, small steps. It eventually will have 13 full stars some half stars and 4 quarter stars. Plus a bazillion, yes bazillion 5 inch sawtooth stars for sashings. The pattern is an American Jane pattern titled Oh My Stars. Love it!

Fun Tulip Quilt

This is a quilt I started after a trip to Bozeman with Tony. We shop hopped and I fell in love with this book and couldn't wait to start on the tulips quilt. It is in the lineup to be quilted still.

This is a lonestar I am making for a challenge by Sew Batik. They have this challenge for the 2011 Machine Quilting fun and games in SLC. I am debating about doing some applique' in the white areas or save it for some quilting I'm sure I don't know how to do well. LOL
what do you think? I'm not great at applique' either unless its fusible.

Coffee Cup wall hanging

I've had this kit for a few years and finally got around to making it. I really love it but procrastinated forever. I need to quilt and bind it now. Hope I don't procrastinate for years again.

More Fair bragging

I couldn't find a picture of the wallhanging that took second place in group wallhangings, so I took a new one. Here it is. I love this little quilt, and its been hanging in my dining area for quite a while. I moved it to my quilting room this week.

Round Robin 2 for 2010

Here is my beautiful round robin top that came home to me a few weeks ago. I love love love it. I am debating about putting a border on it so it will be bed sized shaped. Click on the pictures to see close ups. Check out those adorable squirrell applique's I was blessed with.

Four Months?

I cannot believe how long its been since I posted. Horrible horrible. I have been busy doing summer stuff and quilty stuff. I entered two round robins I had participated into the State Fair and we took a third place for the large dahlia and a second place for the spring fling round robin I posted about somewhere on this blog, but I can't find it. Here is the dahlia finished.

I have been busy, but haven't finished much. I need to get to some quilts waiting to be quilted first.

No quilty stuff today.

No quilty stuff today, just some whining. My basement flooded over the weekend, this included my sewing room and one bedroom. They have torn apart walls, carpet pad, its a mess. All my sewing stuff is stuffed into a storage room. (except the bits I took upstairs cuz I can't live without em) I have to say I was really lucky to have a dedicated sewing room, now I have a spot in my office space, that I share with husband. grrrr. I don't know how long I will be stranded like this, but I hope not too awfully long. (the only good thing..... I am getting new carpet!)

Round Robin 2 2010

I am participating in a second round robin with the ladies from the about.com quilting forum. This one is for Nancy. I had a bit of difficulty with my round, but I think I like it anyway.

I Am So Lucky!

I was the lucky winner of this beautiful purse from ginabean handmade blog. I love to read blogs and see what other people are creating. I really didn't think I had a chance, but Yay! I won!!! picture stolen from Gina's blog.

One I forgot

I forgot to share a picture of this cool quilt I finished recently. I love the bright against the white. MOJO is the pattern if you are curious.
